ACT Chief Engineer, Infrastructure Canberra, ACT Government

Position Overview

This position will provide interns with hands-on experience to complement their academic studies. This will involve the intern providing technical and administrative assistance to the Office of the Chief Engineer in delivering the functions of the ACT Chief Engineer. The intern will be required to collaborate with teams across Infrastructure Canberra, the Board of Engineering Excellence and the ACT Government to support the delivery of infrastructure and engineering projects while undertaking standalone research projects.

To be eligible for temporary employment you must be in Australia on a visa with work rights or be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

ENGN3200/ENGN6200 Engineering Internship Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to undertake this opportunity for academic credit through Engineering Internship (ENGN3200/ENGN6200) you must meet the following requirements:

• currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate engineering program;

• have completed a minimum of 96 Engineering program courses (UG) or 48 units of postgraduate courses including ENGN6250 or ENGN8260 (PG);

• have sufficient space in your remaining program for 6-24 unit internship;

• have a minimum GPA of 5.0;

• Not previously completed ENGN3200/ENGN6200.
