The Master of Computing is a two year full-time (or equivalent part-time) degree that exposes you to best practice in computing and cutting edge courses in areas of relevance to computing practitioners.

This program is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society, and targeted for graduates without a computing background.

You will develop a deep knowledge of professional software development and computing practices.

With an option to complete a computing specialisation, you can explore your interests and develop expertise in a chosen subfield.

The program culminates in a capstone that brings together the skills you have developed on a real-world challenge with an industry internship or TechLauncher group project. Work with some of Australia’s leading researchers on real-world projects that have a real impact. Master of Computing students will build professional skills as part of the University’s innovative TechLauncher program. You can work in small groups with industry partners, researchers, or in start-ups; undertake a small research project supervised by an academic; or an internship with local industry or government agency.

Master of Computing students with a GPA greater than 6/7 may transfer to the Master of Computing (Advanced) with up to 48 units of credit.
