This guest lecture provides an extensive overview of the offshore wind sector, both from a global and Australian perspective. The lecture explores the global market landscape and some of the current industry trends. It will also look at the Australian offshore wind market, presenting motivations for offshore wind energy in Australia, the current energy mix, regulatory and policy frameworks, latest developments and industry challenges faced in Australia. The lecture concludes with an open discussion inviting attendees to contribute.

About the presenter

Nathan Griffioen is an Offshore Wind Project Engineer at KONGSTEIN’s Sydney office. He supports KONGSTEIN projects from around the globe with a focus on the APAC region.

Kongstein is a global company involved in over 40 offshore wind projects in Europe, USA and Taiwan, providing advisory services in all phases of offshore wind construction projects, from the early planning stages, to transport and installation works as well as operation, maintenance and decommissioning.

This event will be held at Building # 32 - Engineering Building - Engineering Theatre on the ANU campus. No registrations required, walk ins are welcome.
